Your Questions Answered

Why are you upgrading your system?

Your banking experience is important to us, and this upgrade is helping us achieve efficiencies necessary to build upon the highest level of service that you are accustomed to.

Can I access the funds in my account during the upgrade?

Yes! You’ll be able to use all your Security Federal Savings Bank cards, withdraw and deposit funds from the ATM, and write checks. There will be debit card purchase limits in place. Credit cards will be unaffected. Because you won’t be able to check your account balance online or at an ATM from June 5 through June 9, we encourage you to keep track of your spending. You can also call a branch to check your account balance.

Will I be able to use online/mobile banking during the upgrade?

Unfortunately, no. Our digital banking system will be down from June 5 through June 9, but it should be back online on June 10. Telephone banking will also be unavailable.

Will my monthly bank statements change?

You will get an extra statement when we transition to the new system. The look of the statement will change, but all the information will still be included.

Will my information be secure throughout the upgrade?

Yes! Your security is always our top priority. We have strong procedures in place to protect your personal information. Remember, we will never contact you to ask for account details.

What if the upgrade takes longer than expected?

While we don’t expect any delays, we will post updates on our website if the upgrade takes longer than scheduled.

What new benefits/tools will the upgrade bring?

Info TBD

Can I still use my debit card while the system is down?

Yes, your debit card will continue to work during the system downtime. However, you will only be able to use your standard daily spending limit—temporary increases will not be available.

Please note: during this time, transactions will not post in real time, so your available balance will not update automatically. Be sure to keep track of your spending to avoid overdrawing your account and incurring fees once the system comes back online on June 9th.

What should you do to prepare?

Ensure your contact information is up to date.

Log in to your online banking account or stop by a branch to ensure your mailing address, email, and phone number are up to date.

Review your June Bill Pay dates.

If you use Bill Pay, log in to online banking and ensure you don’t have a payment scheduled during the upgrade period. All Bill Pay payments will need to be scheduled before June 4 or after June 10.

Download past statements.

If there are any previous statements you want to keep, download them from your online banking account.

Make note of any automatic internal transfers.

If you have recurring automatic transfers between your Security Federal Savings Bank accounts, you’ll need to re-establish them after the upgrade is complete.
